I have been wanting to cable since I learned to garter then purl. I have cried my woes since I first blogged in January. Laura voluntered from afar the far, far reaches of Iowa. She told me to watch the mail. I have sat on the porch everyday OK! so I don't have a porch, smile! Well yesterday my daughter retrieved the mail and what I got was better than the winning lotto numbers. Special magicial cable recipe and yarn, cable stitch holder not any stitch holders special Laura ones and ribbon and stuff. Double-click on "You Promised" or "Link" and check out Lauras blog she is at http://knitsforsanity.typepad.com/ she is a person I can actually say wears her heart on her sleeve. I will share later what else was in the box. I have to go now I am a cabler' big grin! and well I have to go cable like cable people do bigger grin.... Liz and I have special words coming your way via e-mail.

Cindy you are so very welcome. Your cables look fantastic. Don't worry, I didn't figure them out until my grandmother explained it. Then it clicked and I said, "Oh that is actually very easy!"
I hope you enjoy that pattern. I'm going to make a couple for x-mas gifts. I thought that it would be fun for summer.
I hope your daughter liked her little giftie gift. I thought of you and her when I saw that little charm. Just so sweet.
Well I'm glad that I could help you learn how to cable. Thank you so much for being such a great "listener." You've really helped me through some rough patches. HUGS my friend!

Cindi...excellent job with the cables. It's fun to do but remember to keep a tick sheet for your rows.
