My Blog Anniversary is January 18th. I can't believe my first year has flown by. I am tinkering with the thought of maybe a contest to celebrate. I just need a clever idea. This is a picture of my first pair of socks I made. I still call them my trophy socks, they were a bugger, the pattern is from Weekend Knitting and it was way over my head but I was determined. Through this past year I realised I enjoy making socks, go figure because they can be a challenge, I think it is because they are a small project and are easy to tote around. I also have to say after being involved in sock exchanges through this past year I really treasure the socks I have received each pair is so special. Last year I bought Knitting on the Road by Nancy Bush. But, seriously it was a brave purchase because I am not experienced enough yet. I was carrying it around in my handbag for months because I would look and look through it hoping I would be able to make a pair from it. But, I lost it while on vacation last summer.
I am silly and I love to laugh, I love cooking and I am self taught so I am always trying to improve and learn as much as I can. I believe chocolate or lemon bars are a cure all, I love to eat, I studied fashion, marketing and design, I love to go to thrift stores and find vintage cashmere sweaters to bring back to life to wear, I love my jeans and flip flops. I enjoy dressing up too... I love perfume. Blue is my favorite color and I adore my family.
Such a green way to go. This great so when you toss a fruit into your handbag or backback it protects it from getting bruised or poked by a pen or a knitting needle. It is a better way to go than a plastic baggie. I made mine from cotton so I can toss it in the wash. I have made so many they have been a hit with friends and family and such a pretty way to carry a healthy snack. Find the pattern at gonnapurl.blogspot.com
